In today’s busy and often overstimulating world, it can be very easy to take on unwanted energies and stress from the world around us. When I find that I’ve been taking on too much negativity or “energetic clutter” from the people around me, I like to use a few tried-and-true methods to clear out my energy field.
Human beings are meant to connect with nature. We’re a part of it. As any medium or clairvoyant will tell you, our connection to this planet is very important, and grounding is one of the most effective ways to purge the energies that we inevitably take on from those around us. When I feel stressed or tired at the end of the day, I often go on long walks outside to clean out my auric field. Simply feeling my feet connect with the earth is very therapeutic, and helps me to release negative energy with every step.
The most effective method I’ve found for grounding is to stand in one spot for a while, preferably under a tree, and send excess energy downwards into the earth. Afterwards, I keep my connection to the ground open and go for a nice, long walk. During times of added strain or overload, I like using energies of both the earth and the sky to my advantage. Grounding helps to naturally neutralize any unwanted energies back into the planet where they will find a new direction, and opening myself upwards to the sky adds an extra feeling of freedom and cleanliness as the airy energy revitalizes.
Meditate and Visualize
Another tried and true method that I have used for cleaning out my aura is meditation. Combining meditation with my aforementioned connection with nature is especially effective. Meditating in a field helps to naturally ground out excess energies that you’re working to be rid of, and what better soundtrack for meditating than the sounds of wind in the trees? Joining meditation in nature with visualization of all negative energies taking the form of a visible energy that exits your energy field and dissolves away has become my favored method for cleaning out my energy field.
I recently went out to spend a night alone in the woods to reconnect with the earth’s energies and give myself an opportunity to meditate in a more nurturing environment. Let me tell you, it was a life-changing experience! The sounds around me as the night passed by, and the peaceful feeling of waking up afterwards as a natural response to the rising sun helped me feel cleansed and revitalized like never before. Don’t underestimate the power of meditation—it’s well worth making time for.
Clarify Your Direction
It can be really stressful to deal with today’s excess of stimuli. Everywhere we turn, there seems to be some form of media grabbing for our attention.
